Yes, having your carpet and upholstery cleaned will remove pollutants and makes for a healthier indoor environment.

Will you remove all of the stains?

Firstly, let us explain the difference between a spot and a stain

A spot is a foreign material (soiling, grease, food or a liquid, etc.) The substance is attached or surrounds the carpet fibre or fabric and has not yet had time to “set” or has not been chemically altered by the use of household products or cleaning agents. Such spots are removable by standard professional cleaning followed by advanced spot removal methods.

A stain is where the foreign material has penetrated deep into the fibre or fabric and has changed and/ or caused damage including discolouration. Some stains may be very difficult or totally impossible to remove – Please do not be lulled into a false sense of security when promised by other companies that “all stains will be removed”. We will advise you honestly of the expected result you can expect.

What are the dark marks around the edge of my carpet and can they be removed?

These are called filtration marks or draft marks as they are more commonly known. They appear over time as the air travels through the carpet from underneath and the carpet fibres filter out the soiling as it passes. We can improve these areas but the only permanent solution is to have the gaps under the carpet sealed when the carpet is replaced.

Should I have stain protector applied after cleaning?

Yes, most carpet and upholstery manufacturers recommend that you reapply protector after professional cleaning to restore the original stain resistance, but this is entirely optional and please feel free to discuss the benefits of this product with us.
